Project overview
This project involved the repair and refurbishment of a Victorian complex of farm buildings together with the construction of new living spaces in bold extensions to the existing buildings.
The boldest of these extensions has been built to sit within the topography of the landscape, which rises up and sweeps over the roof of the extension as a continuation of the adjacent paddock. The key challenges were of minimal intervention into the existing buildings – light touch of repair and the adoption of thermally-efficient materials having green credentials in the new works – together with careful detailing and integration of the new structure with the architectural intent.
