Project overview
We were appointed to provide full structural and civil engineering design for the refurbishment and expansion of this iconic picture house, built in 1913 and refurbished to its atmospheric style interior in the 1930s.
The restoration sought to restore the historic auditorium while also modernising the cinematic experience of the Category A listed picture house. The wider site was also developed which involved the construction of a new build second screen, café and a plantroom to the rear of the site.
