Brodie Castle: Playful Garden

The project undertaken at Brodie Castle was to create a key visitor attraction in the form of a ‘Playful Garden’. The Playful Garden is a family-friendly garden area nestled within the castle grounds. The landscaped area explores the Brodie family history in a novel and fun way.

Our role was working with Gareth Hoskins to create a new visitor pavilion as the main entrance to the Playful Garden. The design of the building is based on the form of an ancillary agricultural building, with the aim of not disrupting the hierarchy of built form across the castle estate. While improving guests’ arrival experience, the centre also provides retail, catering and indoor play spaces.
