Project overview
This community hub on the Isle of Skye was developed by a volunteer group, the Camuscross & Duisdale Initiative, whose aim was to create a multifunctional building for the local community.
Completed in April 2017, with funding from various sources including the National Lottery, the building houses a gathering space, post office, cafe, bakery and shop.
Sitting atop spread foundations, the building is primarily timber kit with a discrete use of structural steel.
