Home / Alnwick Railway Station
The building is Grade II listed and dates from the late 1800s. The structure is typical of railway station construction of the time with wrought iron trusses supported on cast iron columns and masonry. The structural survey focused on the timber secondary structure forming the roof covering and the structural iron elements. A detailed schedule of repair works and further investigations were provided along with urgency of each of the items to allow the client to price the works and prioritise repairs.
