Project overview
Nether Currie was one of five early learning nurseries constructed simultaneously to two basic designs.
The Early Years Centre is located in the same grounds as Nether Currie Primary School, creating a strong relationship between the two facilities.
The timber framed structure was created to accommodate up to 137 pre-school age children and was designed in conjunction with staff and education specialists. The open plan spaces encourage interaction between the children and provide excellent opportunities for staff to educate and care for them.
Narro provided civil and structural engineering services to City of Edinburgh Council for all five buildings.
