Two of our projects won awards at the RIAS Awards 2013. This private house in Lenzie with Cameron Webster Architects was one of the winners. This reworking of a modern 1970s house creates a new relationship with the building’s site and required extensive structural remodelling and alteration, with crisp detailing to achieve the architectural aesthetic.
Wormit Extension with WT Architecture was awarded Highly Commended. The project involved an internal reconfiguration to connect the house vertically down a new staircase to the garden. A new projecting window enhances the great views over the Firth of Tay. Structural alterations include underpinning most of the basement level and some challenging interventions to the external stone elevation.
