The goal of this project was to transform the brewery tour, create opportunities for larger and more frequent group visits and provide an expanded exhibition/museum space.
The new experience traces the history of Scotland’s oldest brewery, from the 1500s to the present day and includes an immersive tour which ends with a revamped tasting experience.
The project involved major alterations to the structure of a 1960s office block and an extension to the west gable to create a separate and more welcoming entry point for visitors. Corten steel panels were used to create the level access to the new entrance and piled foundations were installed for all new elements.
