Home / Mackintosh Building, Glasgow School of Art – 2018 Fire Assistance
Whilst fire taming works were still ongoing, we made assessments of the remaining Mackintosh structure and the extent of damage on the surrounding buildings.
Working hand in hand with Scottish Fire and Rescue, Glasgow City Council and the GSA we established an immediate stabilising programme for the Mackintosh Building as well as taking down works and condition reports of the adjacent buildings. This enabled the emergency services to do their job effectively and safely.
The biggest threat to the building in the immediate days following the fire was total collapse – an outcome our engineers were able to ensure did not happen.
We have 6 offices across the UK. We are here to support our clients wherever they need us.
