Project overview

This 500m2 building is the new home to the Kyle of Sutherland Hub, a charity which provides activities and events for the rural communities of the Kyle of Sutherland.

This community centre, funded by a Big Lottery Grant of £1.4 million, offers facilities including a café, soft play, workspace and multi-purpose hall, in addition to outdoor play and sports areas. The site was a former coal yard with a cluster of light industrial buildings and the new building’s scale and agricultural red cladding was built to match this.
