Grange Loan

This scope involved extensive internal alterations to open up the space and modernise the layout. A fully exposed oak frame extension and pergola were added to the rear of the property. The structure is very honest with no concealed steelwork doing the work. With the use of deep timber fins and glazing positioned between, the structure retains its slender aesthetic. This project involved close collaboration with the architect to develop details that would be acceptable structurally and architecturally. A particular challenge was detailing the connections between the elements of timber so that they were completely hidden.
