Project overview

The stables on this estate date back to the late 18th century and prior to the restoration were in a state of disrepair with roofs partially collapsed and open to the elements.

Page\Park’s approach to the project concentrated on minimum intervention and aimed to conserve as much of the original fabric as possible, including the original horse stalls, and express them in final state. A new stair was designed to give the impression that it is floating and disconnected from the original construction. The stables completed in September now serve as a visitor hub to the wider estate.
