The house is designed and detailed in accordance with AECB Building Code. This adopts Passivhaus detailing and design methodology coupled with the use of sustainable construction materials.

The structural design of this type of building requires an understanding of how the structure and its detailing affect the performance of the building.

Close collaboration was required with the architect in order to develop details that met the strict requirements in order to achieve such an energy efficient build.
