Home / Narro updates brand identity and launches new website

Narro, formerly David Narro Associates, are delighted to announce the completion of a brand identity refresh, including a new logo and website.

Having operated for over 36 years as David Narro Associates, the Practice has been employee owned since 2014, and gone through a series of major expansions since then. Narro now has 6 offices; Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Stirling, Aberdeen, and in 2021 opened the first office outside Scotland in Newcastle.

In June 2022 Narro’s Edinburgh relocated from its long-standing Marchmont base to a significantly larger office in Orchard Brae House to accommodate the growing staff headcount. The Practice expects to reach 100 employees for the first time this year.

With this continued growth, expansion, and change, the team felt it was an ideal opportunity to update the brand to better reflect the reality of the Practice.

Narro worked with Edinburgh based creative brand and design agency 39Steps to develop the new branding. It was vital that any new identity protected the 36+ years’ experience and reputation that the Practice has built up and highlighted a consistency of service levels and relationships with stakeholders.

Why Narro?

David established the Practice in 1986 with a clear aim: to provide an exceptional standard of service to clients and partners. He certainly succeeded, and we’re proud to have grown to become one of the largest independent engineering consultancies in Scotland. The team were determined to preserve that legacy and the simplified ‘Narro’ name does just that, while reflecting the employee owned status of the Practice. It also provides consistency for our clients and partners.

Brand colour

The Narro team were attached to the existing distinctive teal colour, which really helps us stand out!  It was an easy decision to continue with that as our primary colour.

Logo

It was important that the new logo communicates who we are as a business, delivering creative and reliable engineering designs on all our projects. This simple, clean logo does just that. The triangle cutout was selected as the strongest shape in nature, highlighting how important structural design is to our engineering work.

New Narro Logo

Website

The Practice has also launched a new website, narroassociates.com. This new site gives visitors a much better overview of the range of engineering services we provide, as well as showcasing some of the fantastic projects we’ve been involved with over the years. We’ve also expanded the ‘About Narro’ section, to give potential new team members and engineering students a better understanding of the Narro experience.

Email addresses

The format for the Practice has changed to reflect the new website domain name. From now on, emails sent by us will have the domain @narroassociates.com, however, the existing @davidnarro.co.uk email addresses will continue to receive emails.

Social media accounts

All of the Practice social accounts have also been updated, please give us a follow at the links below.

We want to reassure our valued customers and partners that they’ll continue to receive the same high standard of service and quality from the Practice. We hope you enjoy exploring the new site, and we’d love to hear any feedback on it or the new brand! If you’d like to discuss any future projects or find out more about Narro, please do contact us here.
