Narro is proud to celebrate 10 years of employee ownership today. This milestone marks a decade of shared success, innovation, and collaborative growth within the Practice.
Since transitioning to employee ownership in 2014, Narro has continued to thrive, reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional engineering solutions while fostering a strong sense of community and ownership among its employees. This structure has not only strengthened the company’s performance but also enhanced the dedication and passion of its team.
Ben Adam, Managing Director, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating, “Celebrating a decade of employee ownership is a significant milestone for Narro. This model has empowered our team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation that has been fundamental to our success. Our employees are at the heart of everything we do and have been since David Narro founded the Practice in 1986. Their commitment and expertise have been instrumental in shaping Narro into the engineering firm it is today.”
Narro’s hybrid model of employee ownership has the majority of shares held in an Employee Ownership Trust on behalf of all employees, while individual employees have the opportunity to purchase the remaining shares. All employee owners have an input in the running of the Practice, and benefit from any bonus payments equally.
As a proud member of the Employee Ownership Association (EOA), Narro is part of a growing movement of businesses, particularly within the built environment sector, that believe in the power of employee ownership. The EOA supports and promotes the employee ownership sector across the UK, advocating for the benefits it brings to businesses, employees, and the wider economy.
Over the past decade, Narro has continued working on numerous high-profile projects throughout Scotland and abroad, delivering cutting-edge and bespoke engineering designs across various sectors. The Practice attributes its continued success to the collective efforts and shared vision of its employee-owners, who are deeply invested in the company’s mission and values.
