Team Narro is celebrating after a week of impressive award wins for projects with our engineering input!
We attended the Glasgow Institute of Architects Awards dinner and were delighted that two projects won awards. John Gilbert Architects won the Conservation Award for the restoration of Provand’s Lordship, Glasgow’s oldest surviving residential building, dating from the 15th century. Cameron Webster Architects celebrated a double win for Rock Cove, a stunning new build private home with spectacular views from a cantilever over the sea. This project picked up the Best Small Residential Award, and then the overall Supreme Award of the evening.
At the Dundee Institute of Architects Awards, there were wins for three further projects. Jones Robbins Tobin picked up the Best Domestic Extension award for the beautiful new extension at Woodside Place. Holmes Miller were successful in the Best Commercial/Non-Domestic category for Michelin Innovation Hub, the focal point of the new Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc in Dundee. Perthshire architect CASA had a double win with Rose Garden Studio for Innovative Use of Materials and the Best Small Project Under £150k.
We were incredibly excited on Thursday evening to attend the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) announcement of the 2024 Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award. This prestigious award was won by John McAslan + Partners for the exceptional refurbishment of the Burrell Collection. This was one of the most rewarding projects that the Narro team has worked on and fantastic win!
Congratulations to all the architect firms on their well-deserved and impressive wins! We look forward to continuing to work with them on future award-winning projects.
